Dwellify
A cross-platform experience for home remodeling
Dwellify is a new-to-market interior design tool for homeowners looking to refresh their home. Using a fully interactive digital experience, the platform gives access to Dwellify’s renovation and design experts, following them through the process of ideation, material selection, and project management.
The experience was created as a responsive website, an Android app and an iOS app giving customers the ability to interact from anywhere.
Digital Design System
Critical Mass was tasked with the full design experience from the project’s humble beginnings, starting with a complete visual branding and overarching digital strategy. I came into the project once the initial branding had been completed and worked with a fully integrated team of UX Designers, Copywriters, and Content Strategists to create a flexible design system. This design system spans across multiple platforms, utilizes an intuitive user experience, and aligns consistent interaction patterns and visual styling.
Cross-Platform UI Design
Throughout the project, I helped to create an interface that enables the customer to explore, initiate and manage home renovations from any device. This experience involved complex interactions and in-depth user flows to carry the user through the (usually) long and arduous process of home renovation. Various flows included an intuitive onboarding and style selection process, guidance for measurements and product selections throughout, and an active project dashboard for the customer to track progress of their renovation.
I also worked closely with clients, presenting the work of each sprint and collaborating with stakeholders on the best visual solutions for the task at hand. In the end, we delivered a fully designed experience across web and iOS/Android platforms for a completely bespoke digital experience.
Custom Illustration Library
I also had the opportunity to flex my illustration muscles for this project, creating an entire library of graphics that could be used for both illustrative purposes and informational interfaces. I created a complete collection of illustrations and included an extensive breakdown to follow in the design system for any further graphic creation in the future.
