The artist and owner behind Studio Clarry

Studio Clarry is an art, stationery, and illustrated goods brand focused on bringing small moments of joy through subtle fandom, AAPI culture, and other forms of fun and whimsy.

I started Studio Clarry as another creative outlet outside of my more technical UX/UI day job and I’m excited to expand my creative practice to markets, events, and other ways to connect with the NYC artist and maker community.

Subtle Fandom

As an avid fan of anime, manga, and other media or character properties, I aim to create designs that nod to fandom in a lighthearted and subtle way. The kind that makes you do a double take and is a delightful surprise once you recognize the theme.

Themes & Inspirations

AAPI Culture

I take a lot of inspiration from my Vietnamese-American heritage and love to incorporate it into my work. My hope is to find shared elements and motifs that everyone, not just AAPI folks, can appreciate and enjoy in various forms.

Fun & Whimsy

Fun and whimsy can be so subjective, but I love to let my imagination wander and am always excited by funky creatures, delicious food, or anything else that tickles my fancy! My pup, Foster, continues to be my favorite subject, of course.
